Explanation

The main thing to understand about this list is that it is a personal Top 100, not what I think are the greatest, most important, or most influential tracks of all time. The songs I selected mean something extra special to me for extremely varied reasons ranging from lyrics that truly moved me to it being something that just happened to be playing when I was having a very good time.

In addition, never consider this list to be final until I eventually go to the big rock festival in the sky. Over time, certain songs creep into or fall out of being everybody’s all-time favorites and I am no exception. When inspired, I will come back to edit this page, update the date listed just above the table, plus list what was added and removed in the Updates section above.
