Turn the Page

After much thought, I decided to not bring back the Television links page. While I put a lot of work into it over the time that it was on KoHoSo.us, the audience for it has declined tremendously over the past few years, and I don't know if I will ever again have the amount of time to keep it properly updated or share it where it might be of interest. However, as I can, I will still update the custom Google Maps versions (also downloadable for Google Earth) which I have already shared on this website's Links page.
While that chapter of the KoHoSo Multimedia Empire has closed, I found that it inspired me to begin a new chapter. Already completed and available, I have opened my Advertising Hall of Fame. This page will feature my favorite 20th century print advertisements out of the thousands I have collected over the past 14 years. Any time I have six more, I will update the page with a new class of inductees. I hope you will enjoy it.
One Rainy Night In Riverside
2025-11-15 10:33 AM PST
With the first notable storm of the season coming in, Miss KoKo and I were a little bit apprehensive about driving down the mountain last night to go see X and Los Lobos at the old Fox theater in Riverside. Not only did we make the journey safely, but it was an amazing night of food and music, and the bulk of the rain held off until well after we returned home.
I'm not a very good nighttime photographer, and I'm also not one that likes to be holding up my damn phone through a whole show trying to get a picture. Still, I thought these were worth sharing, especially the one of X after an extremely impressive performance.
Le Chat Noir - 3790 9th Street, Riverside, California - November 14, 2025![]()
Le Chat Noir (the black cat) is an amazing, award winning French style restaurant in the beautiful city of Riverside. It is exactly what you would expect from a French restaurant in quality and service, yet all while not being pompous. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth every penny.
Fox Performing Arts Center - 3801 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, California - November 14, 2025![]()
A great example of the Mission Revival architecture found downtown and elsewhere in Riverside is the old Fox movie theater; now lovingly restored into a concert and performance venue.

Many bands with members this old really need to hang it up. X is not one of them. Especially for a punk band, I was absolutely stunned at how much they still play the same as when I saw them for the first time at a hole-in-the-wall club in the '80s.
What's Cookin'?

After quite some time away, I am back to trying to get my Neocities site in a state presentable enough to announce on social media sites that it is open. The main inspiration to leave my work woes behind and start playing in here again was my idea to add a Recipes page. Not too long ago, I found an interesting recipe for making pork chile verde in a slow cooker. Miss KoKo made some alterations to it, and it turned out so incredily good that I really want to share it with the world.
The pork chile verde recipe is not fully written yet, and I also need to take a good photograph of it to get people's mouths drooling. For now, I have created and opened the Recipes page with one of my classics, KoHoSo's Biscuits and Gravy.
Overall, at the time I am writing this, I have added in a little more "bling" plus corrected some inconsistencies and downright errors. Aside from completing all of the pages, the big project remianing is to get all of the colors to display the way I want. Picking up from the entry below, Watefox might have fixed its problem of not refreshing CSS files in its cache, so maybe coloring can finally be attacked without so much hassle.
I am not certain how much other work will be done this weekend. I already know that the coming work week will be absolutely hellish, so it might be a bit before there is anything new to note. Just know that, if I do disappear for a while again, I am not abandoning Neocities. Especially these days, life is just rough sometimes and pure self care needs to take priority, especially when there are times that building a website can be quite frustrating.
